Malcolm Clarke is a creative chameleon - he is both a talented editor and a photographer. In this artist showcase we explore Malcolm's work in film. As an editor it is Malcolm's job is to enhance and refine story in a creative and considered way. The experience he has gained in the past seven years has provided him with the necessary skills to develop meaningful projects of his own. Here are three of Malcolm's short video productions with accompanying notes in his own words.
This short (almost) two minute film/video serves as absolutely brilliant inspiration, and really shows off what filming and editing is capable of. The project is all about concealing valuables, secrets, bad habits and personal information in our workplaces. Here, hidden spaces/messages were created within eight general objects such as wood boards, lamps and disposable coffee cups. What do you think of this video? I personally loved it, and watched it for the second time right after it finished the first time. A lovely piece of work.
