  1. Neat idea. I like. Some great shots there… esp like the low light shots of people like 36 and 42… I recently got myself a 50mm lens, and I’m lovin it.

  2. nice idea with a few interesting photographs. Perhaps 50 is slightly much for this artist? Some photos are repetitive and uninteresting.

  3. I hate to say it, but 50 photos in 50 days isn’t terribly impressive. Many people on flickr do a 365 project where they take a photo of themselves everyday for a year. One person in particular (a friend of mine) has done several years in a row, and the majority of the photos was with a 50mm.

  4. @SD: It’s not about quantity it’s quality. I’d take just one of Rick’s photos rather 365 shots of someone taking pictures of themselves with a webcam (which requires about zero skill).

It’s not the number that’s impressive, it’s the quality of the shots. And it’s quite fitting that Rick takes 50 shots, with a 50mm.

If you’ve still got a problem with that, pretend the project is named something else, appreciate the work mate.

  5. I agree – if you take a look at Rick’s website you’ll see that he plans each one of his photos everyday, from sketching to location and what equipment he should use in his set-up. The work is top-notch! :)
